✅ Use Case: Modernize video security for safety, accountability, and rapid investigations
“Safety is the most important thing.” As COO Will Paccione explains, the operation runs a tight front-of-house, screening visitors, maintaining watch/ban lists, and documenting incidents. They needed reliable, comprehensive video and faster ways to find what mattered.
The previous system (Vertex) wasn’t capturing continuously. As cameras were added, retention shrank and motion-only recording created gaps. On busy days, storage quickly filled with noise (even décor moving in the wind), making it hard to prove what did or didn’t happen. Low-light footage also limited overnight awareness.
Cost required stakeholder buy-in, but Coram’s model made the cut: continuous recording, modern AI tools, and upgrades included in the plan. “Just to know we have six months if we need it is huge. Six months of uninterrupted… I can go back to a specific time, a specific day.” Early demos sealed it: “When… Dennis pulled up ‘redhead with vacuum’… I saw the clips. I went, this is great. Exactly what I need.”
Rollout involved some recabling and a week of IT work; Coram’s licensing/platform costs were a portion of the total. The team now leans on Discover for quick look-backs, with everything from describing critical incidents to a lighthearted check on the resident cat (“I could type cat… and just figure it out”).
Paccione’s bottom line: “Exactly what I need.” With continuous recording, fast AI search, and clearer nights, the venue strengthened safety and made investigations simpler.
