Upgrading fast to meet audit requirements: 30-day recording, cloud access, and quicker investigations.
Customer Snapshot
✅ Role: Z Markov, Director of IP & Security Networks
✅ Footprint: Single office in leased HQ space
✅ Use Case: CCTV upgrade to satisfy client audit and become a preferred vendor
“You guys checked all the boxes… and then there were some additional features… great for the value,” said Z Markov. The mandate was urgent: to secure preferred-vendor status with a major client, Z’s team needed modern CCTV and access controls in a building with no existing cameras—and they had to prove it during rigorous audits.
Post-COVID, the company consolidated to one office in a leased space where property management wouldn’t add “enhanced physical security” without an expensive contract. A client’s due-diligence process flagged gaps. The team needed updated CCTV, clear auditability around who accessed footage, cloud control (to avoid trips onsite), and “at the minimum 30 days of continuous footage.”
The team evaluated multiple vendors, including better-known names. Requirements were non-negotiable: an AI component, cloud access, simple administration, and value. “You guys checked all the boxes,” Z said, noting Coram also delivered extras that mattered—like easy auditing of engineer access. Setup was straightforward: “Installation was very easy… placing your [recorder] in the server and running it.”
Administration got simpler, auditing got clearer, and investigations got faster—thanks to an update that surfaced detections right under live view.
Z highlighted the impact of that investigations workflow: “Identifying the person we were looking for… was as simple as just going through the camera, scrolling down and looking at 20 thumbnails. And we had what we needed.” He also emphasized usability: “Within minutes of the demo… I felt pretty comfortable utilizing [the system].”
Z regularly points peers to Coram, even offering a quick demo of his environment: “[Coram is] new in the space… not as known as some of the bigger players, but… for the amount of features you get, it’s a great value.”
